Caribbean Shuffle

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: September 4, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 32 of 42
Instruments Played: African Thumb Piano (from Delaware)

How they made it: Ever since the success from the track “Fresh” earlier on the album, the two agreed they should make another thumb piano track. Clocking in at 18 seconds it marks the shortest song on the album and is used as a light, upbeat number to give the audience a breather from the "noise." Besides being the shortest track it is also the quickest track made. A beat was selected, Michael plucked the thumb piano for twenty seconds, then they moved on less than two minutes later.

Origin of song title: There is a theme with two songs on the album that feature made-up dances for geographies. It is for the two upbeat songs on the album: The Mountain Hop, a dance West Virginians can hoedown to and the Caribbean Shuffle, a very quick island dance.
