Catch Me in Bollywood

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: April 20, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 9 of 42
Instruments Played: Wah-Wah Tube, Small Sitar

How they made it: This track merges two "Birthday Jam Session" files made that day: Wah-Wah Tube and Small Sitar. Plucking of the Small Sitar was actually done with the Risha Pick (intended to be used with Baglama) which is very flimsy allowing a quick "back & forth" motion on the string. Danny took this sound clip, cut it up, and made a beat using Reason- a program that allows him to play cut up parts on his keyboard, as if it were an MPC.

Origin of song title: Titled "Catch Me in Bollywood," because the "bouncy" small sitar sound used in combination with the wah-wah tube brings up the image of a movie star partying on a night "out on the town" in India.
