Chaos in the Club

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: March 7, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 4 of 42
Instruments Played: Electric Guitar recorded into a loop pedal

How they made it: It is the first “world” sounding beat on the album (excluding the intro) and it didn’t even feature any foreign instruments. Michael used to make these loops and they all sounded like the world was going to end. During their first session for the album, Danny had already made three beats that night and they sounded like pretty standard hip-hop numbers. Danny was about to retire for the night, but Michael said, “Before we end, let’s do a quick test… Let’s make one more to my style (read: tribal beats).” The result was Chaos in the Club.

Origin of song title: The ‘chaos’ heard in the loop combined with the ‘club’ beat left the Craic Attics with only one name to label the song. When Danny saw the track listing he said, “Well I already know what half these songs are without having to click them… Specifically ‘Chaos in the Club.’”
