How they made it: The first song on the project where Danny made a beat out of one of Michael’s loops; picked because Michael thought the loop sounded like a Rza beat. The loop was recorded months prior alone in a hotel room.

Origin of song title: For whatever reason, Michael always heard a rapper muffling a phrase that ended with “Chillin’ in the Cut” over the drums.
