Mind The Noise / Kava Made Me Do It

about

Date Recorded: March 30, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 8 of 42
Instruments Played: EBow on the Electric Guitar

How they made it: Taken from a 37-minute jam session Michael recorded with the EBow: an "electric bow" which is a laser that vibrates the strings, causing it to sound like a bowed instrument. Michael recorded the session from his amp into a microphone so he was able to add reverb and tremolo at certain times. From there Michael highlighted 30 or so moments in the file which should be used in an "epic, extended cut" for the album. Danny sighed, but agreed and the two spent about 3 hours crafting a track that they are safe to say "will never be recreated by anyone- not even themselves."

Origin of song title: This song is given honors of having the album's title track because it encompasses the essence of the album: cohesive noise. It is also given the “The Kava Made Me Do It” title because most, if not all, of the album was made under the influence of kava-kava.
