Smooth Moves, Jamiroquai

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: August 18, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 21 of 42
Instruments Played: Bass, Trumpet, Electric Guitar

How they made it: Started off as a simple drum ‘n bass track. From there added two separate guitar parts. Trumpet was added on a later date, layered, and rearranged in order.

Origin of song title: Originally titled, “Smooth” because of the bass line and as an ode to WRYR radio host Andy Och (who often refers to Danny’s beats as smooth) Danny was heard saying “Oh shit, the Jamiroquai song” when listening to the song. While Michael admits the song “kinda sounds like a Thom Yorke solo song” he thought the phrase “Smooth Moves, Jamiroquai” was too entertaining to pass on.
