The Mountain Hop

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: May 11, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 16 of 42
Instruments Played: Banjo, Bass

How they made it: This was recorded on a night that resulted in three beats but “The Mountain Hop” is the ONLY song of that would surface on the album. After a discouraging recording session Craic Attics would take a three month hiatus to work on a Pink Floyd hip-hop album. The banjo was recorded on the spot, chopped up by Danny, and made in Reason. The much necessary bass (reminiscent to the "oom ba's" heard in "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'") was added months later leveraging the song to be "album worthy."

Origin of song title: Called “The Mountain Hop,” because it sounds like a bluegrass hip-hop.
