Those Were the Days

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: September 8, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 37 of 42
Instruments Played: Harmonium

How they made it: Three chords on a harmonium. That’s all. After one round, they do it again with Michael adding the root note, only one octave down to give it a “full” sound.

Origin of song title: “Those Were the Days" is one of the album's gems. There’s no concrete reason behind the title besides the rich, nostalgic sound of the organ. The undeniably fresh beat Danny laces the track with gives it that “Those Were the Days” hip-hop feel.
