Tough Times

from Mind The Noise by Craic Attics

/

about

Date Recorded: September 8, 2011
Order in which song was made for project: 42 of 42
Instruments Played: Concertina

How they made it: The last song worked on from scratch for the project. Michael pushed to have the instrument on the album, as a previous recording of the concertina did not make the cut. Since the concertina is a relatively easy instrument to play (or at least easy to produce pretty sounds for a brief moment) Danny obliged and previewed a drum sample. Simple as that, the whole song process took about four minutes (rounding up).

Origin of song title: Titled “Tough Times” because the beat is so hard hitting and the sound of the concertina elicits images of less fortunate people struggling.
